"Our survey based on available data, suggests that low-dose aspirin taken by patients with colon cancer, breast cancer or prostate cancer, in combination with other methods of treatment is associated with reduced mortality from 15% to 20% along with a decrease in the spread of the cancer," says Professor Peter Elwood.

The results of six studies also showed that the use of aspirin may help to increase the survival rate and in other types of cancer, including kidney cancer and tumors of the esophagus. Thus in patients with colon cancer with a mutation in a gene called PIK3CA pill increased the life expectancy by almost two times.
